Healthy Fruit Smoothies

Healthy fruit smoothies are comprised of fruit and pure drinking water. Envision the natural beauty of fruit thriving in the sun and rain. Imagine fruit trees. Imagine vineyards and strawberry fields. This scenery does not belie the nutrients.

Fruits are filled with vitamins, many of which contain vitamin A, C and E. These are antioxidant rich foods which help keep free radicals from damaging cell structures. Free radicals occur naturally from food being broken down in the body. They are formed during the oxidation process. Sometimes when an atom loses an electron in its outer ring, the atom becomes a free radical. The atom becomes positively charged because of the lack of the negatively charged electron. Since opposites attract, the positively charged atom or molecule that is now a free radical will seek out another electron from a balanced atom. In time this reactive process causes biological damage. Drink healthy fruit smoothies enriched with antioxidants to manage these free radicals before they go into a frenzied chain reaction of electron stealing. Release that electron.

Some examples of fruits with antioxidants are watermelon and mangoes, filled with Vitamin A. Kiwis and strawberries are a good source of Vitamin C. Blackberries, blueberries and mangoes are enriched with Vitamin E.

The radiating sun can hurt the membrane of your skin cells. Again we must defend our castle with antioxidants, decreasing the chance for destruction of DNA in our skin cells. Aside from the bright sun, inner disturbances to our skin can occur such as acne. Coming to the rescue are strawberries, a good source of salicylic acid Externally, strawberries soothe sun burn. They help get rid of dead cells and clean our pores. If applied and mixed with water, you must filter the water. Unfiltered tap water can harm your skin. There is a high chlorine level that dries our faces, causes flaking and clogged pores which again lead to acne. After ingesting strawberries, they work toward curing dermatitis, internally. Also, since salicylic acid is an ingredient of aspirin they help with headaches. Another disease affecting skin and self-esteem is rosacea. Berries such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries alleviate the burning and itching of rosacea.

Fruits also contain fiber. Fiber helps in digestion. Soluble fibers help the body by disallowing a high level of starch and sugar absorption. Thus cholesterol is lowered. One word – apples.

Remember do not cook fruits (or vegetables). By preparing foods through cooking above the temperature of 118 degrees Fahrenheit, the digestive enzymes will be destroyed. Digestive enzymes break down the food in the body so that the nutrients can be absorbed. In a raw foods diet, enzymes help start the digestive process. Thus when food is cooked and digestive enzymes are lost, our poor pancreas will have to work overtime to produce more enzymes. Digestive enzymes from raw food help as cures for acne and as a rosacea natural treatment.

Some interesting evidence has come to light in the life force of raw foods. Based on studies by two German scientists, Hardy Vogtman and Angelika Meier-Ploeger, organic foods contain more vitamins, minerals and nutrients than foods laden with fertilizer. Their theory is supported by counting light units emitted from the particular food. Every organism emits light levels albeit low. Another word for this light level is biophotons. Further these scientists believe that energy from light is stored in DNA during photosynthesis and that light is transmitted to cells and can be subsequently measured. Their ratio findings – the greater the light energy, the more life force. This life force then ingested by humans and animals makes us more vital.

Along these lines comes vibration. All living things have a vibrational frequency. All living elements are electromagnetic. Ingesting foods with higher vibrations such as organic fruits or uncooked foods is the best for your body’s cells and systems. Another interesting study is one performed with Kirlian photography, where the images show the electric fields of the subject. Pictures of organic and/or uncooked fruits and vegetables show amazing electrical auras emitting from the images compared to their cooked and fertilized counterparts.

Finally, the line between life and death is energy. Eat foods with a higher healthy vibration, such as fresh, organic raw fruit. When eating cooked foods, squeeze fresh organic lemon juice upon it, to raise the vibrational frequency. Your thoughts can change vibrational frequency as well. For a powerful, healthy fruit smoothie, think positively while enjoying your drink.

When picking your fruits, find the organic kind. Always wash your fruit. Pesticide residue is poisonous. Especially clean fruits where the outer layer would not be peeled for your smoothie preparation like berries.

For a rejuvenating antioxidant enriched smoothie, blend the ingredients of 1/2 cup strawberries, 1/2 cup mango slices, 1/2 cup kiwi slices and 1/2 cup crushed ice made with filtered water.

Fruit and ice will change your life. Filter your water. Drink raw organic creations for your healthy fruit smoothies and a beautiful you.

Discover Healthy and Tasty Foods That Will Help Burn Fat

Many people who want to discover healthy and tasty foods that can help burn fat and lose weight hear familiar terms like “burn fat” and “eat healthy”, but these vague terms are often followed by some type of diet that includes food that tastes like cardboard and restricted diets that do not encourage a person to stay on a diet.

“Healthy” diets that sell for big bucks are designed in a way that sets the average person up for failure. They do not take into account that the body requires certain amounts of vitamins, nutrients, and minerals to lose weight and some of those items are not found in the foods that don’t contain sugar or calories. Most people who go on these diets will try very hard to reach their goal weight, but shortly after reaching their goal, they are off the wagon and eating again. The result is that about 90% of the people who start these diets fail and regain the weight they have lost.

It is very important that, before you start a diet, you learn about the vitamins, nutrients, and foods that will help your body to perform most efficiently and burn calories and fat. When you create a diet using the foods that are effective for you and you eat regularly, you will not be stuck with a bland tasteless diet. Your body will be getting what it needs to keep you healthy and give you the energy you need to burn the calories that you need to burn in order to lose the fat that you want to lose. Some foods are very good for helping you achieve your goals. By including these foods in your diet, you can avoid sugar cravings, get the nutrients you need, and enjoy a “healthy” diet more.

Raw nuts – Nuts are not bad for you, it’s the stuff that is used to coat them like sugar and salt, that can counteract the good things that they do for you. Eating raw nuts provides you with important oil and vitamins that your body needs to function effectively. Yes, you need to monitor the amount of raw nuts that you eat each day. But, eating a handful of raw nuts each day will actually do your body more good than bad.

Fruits – There are some diets that advise people to stay away from fruits. But, eating raw fruit is like eating a vitamin. You are getting several vitamins including important vitamin C. Fruit gives you important fiber that you need and can help a person through a sugar craving very well. Eating berries is especially good for you and will give you a higher carbohydrate to sugar ratio than other fruits. When you are low on energy, fruit is a terrific way to regain energy easily.

Eggs – When you are looking at sources of protein, you will find that eggs are an extremely good source of protein. While egg whites can be avoided, egg yolks contain the protein, minerals, vitamins and nutrients that are critical for your body to function efficiently. Many people find that eating egg yolks without the whites in their meals does not change the taste of the food and is a great way to get the protein that is needed. In addition, eating a whole egg will make a person feel full longer than many foods and is a great addition to a salad when you are dieting.

Losing weight does not have to be hard. If your body is getting the minerals, vitamins and nutrients that are needed to stay balanced, and you are getting exercise on a regular basis, you are going to burn fat. Most people do not eat regularly or eat healthy. But, by just including some healthy foods in your diet and eating at regular intervals, you metabolism will work more efficiently.

The key to losing fat and weight is the metabolism. This is the part of your body that burns calories. When you are keeping your metabolism properly fueled and you are active, you are going to burn calories and fat. By eating properly, you are going to flush toxins from your body naturally and find that losing weight is very easy and natural. The first step will be to include the foods above into a regular healthy diet and find what foods fill you up, give you energy, and motivate you to eat more healthy foods.

Healthy Eating Foods

Did you ever wonder about healthy eating foods, and the level of added toxins? What about organically grown foods? The simple directive our doctors give to “eat more fruits and vegetables” has become more complicated in this day and age. Herbicides and pesticides are used widely, and on some crops more than others.

These poisons (to us AND the bugs) become incorporated into the crops themselves, and you must decide how much of this you are willing to put into your system. Would you drink a glass of insect killer? How about a shot of synthetic fertilizer? Perhaps not your conscious choice, but you may be doing just that.

Some conventionally grown foods are treated with more pesticides than others, and some of these crops grab and hold them more than others. And then there are the root crops – carrots, beets, parsnips and potatoes, which draw fertilizers, pesticides and other soil impurities to them through water absorption. If your goal is healthy eating, foods such as these must be avoided.

Thanks to a study by the Environmental Working Group’s controversial Dirty Dozen Foods, we have a practical list of foods that should only be eaten if organically grown. I say controversial because of course, the conventional farmers deny the harmful nature of toxic elements in foods. But they would have to, wouldn’t they?

The Dirty Dozen: These foods should only be eaten when grown organically. They are listed from worst toward better.

1. Peach (worst – highest pesticide load)

2. Apple (still pretty bad)

3. Sweet Bell Pepper (Who knew bugs love them so much?)

4. Celery (Just sucks up all that fertilizer!)

5. Nectarine (insecticides, insecticides, insecticides!)

6. Strawberries (Takes a lot o’ bug juice to get these babies grown)

7. Cherries (Bugs and birds love ‘em)

8. Kale (Must be fertilizers for this one.)

9. Lettuce (Yeah – fertilizers galore!)

10. Grapes – Imported (Uh-Oh! WHAT are they using for fertilizer?)

11. Carrot (Root crops are sweeter and safer organically grown)

12. Pear (Lots and lots of insecticide.)

These foods are some of the best healthy eating foods, but not with all the toxins added in, and the organic versions taste so much better, too.

On the other hand, some foods have a low pesticide use in conventional farming and are safer to eat. They generally have a skin or a peel protecting the edible portion. They are listed from best (onions) to the not quite as clean.

We can call this list The Clean Fifteen; fifteen foods that are still good even when grown conventionally.

1. Onion

2. Avocado

3. Sweet corn–frozen

4. Pineapple

5. Mango

6. Asparagus

7. Sweet peas–frozen

8. Kiwi

9. Cabbage

10. Eggplant

11. Papaya

12. Watermelon

13. Broccoli

14. Tomato

15. Sweet potato

Keeping this list in your wallet or blackberry is helpful when you are at the grocery store so you can better implement your plan to stick to healthy eating foods.
